I did enjoy that the assessments were multiple choice and they weren’t too hard, however, I would also add practical exercises to each module assessment using the demo company. The practical exercises should be similar to the final assessment, instead of just having it all at the end Adding practical exercises to each module assessment.

It’s a bit pity that the training is not done in the real Xero environment although the demo company provides possibly the real life data and up to date functionalities. Like payroll, you cannot really do the exercises in Demo while studying. And although the career academy has a partnership and accredited by Xero, it would be more valuable if we can have the pathway to Xero certified advisor which will provide better career prospect once we successfully complete the course. When I saw your partnership with the the Association of Administrative Professionals in New Zealand (AAPNZ) and NZ Bookkeepers Association, it helped me decide. In general, the video (on demand) needs improvement. It's difficult to see what's going on in a small screen. Notice how training videos, for example Xero, can be clicked to appear full screen. That is user-friendly and easier to follow because you can see clearly where the pointer was and where it goes, etc. The staff and tutors are pleasant and encouraging.

It was accessible, both online and money wise, plus a Chartered Accountant was involved. I sent in an email with specific concerns when it was removed from my dashboard, prior to completing this feedback. One concern was the marking of a question. It was to do with GST treatment. I re-read the question and examples given and concluded I was right, and that it had been marked wrong in error. Confirmation, or acknowledgemental of my concerns would have been nice. The exercise instructions were very clear, however there were two(2) areas that were not for me. 1. Pay Bills – The wording regarding making a payment to the Purchase:Awaiting Payment for Swanston Security was confusing i.e. appeared to be instructions for creating a Bill. 2. BAS Report – It was difficult to Publish a Business Activity Statement that was not in the standard quarters. The 3 month period I was instructed to use was from "1 May 2017 to 31 Jul 2017" and the software would not accept the dates, and repeatedly tried to revert to an IAS rather than a BAS. When I entered the standard quarter 1 Jul 2017 to 30 Sep 2017 the report would publish correctly.

I chose the career academy To gain certificate/accreditation and to be of more assistance to my clients. I am doing a Cert IV in Accounting at TAFE SA but they are not geared up for XERO training yet but are working on. The $100 charged for notes is a bit high but appreciated. The 'free' memory stick of 2gb costs about $6.50 but not large enough for retaining work.* The quizzes could have been more extensive to improve learning

This course was excellent. The only small issue was that a couple of the links to further information on external sites ( for example, Xero) were no longer live or had been updated. It didn't affect the course as such as these mostly pertained to extra information. I looked at a few online RTOs – your website was the most informative and user-friendly, especially considering that I am over excellent0 and was nervous about online study. I figured if you had a good website, chances were it would be reasonably easy to navigate and access information as a student. I was right! Your customer service staff were also friendly and helpful.
